Frequently Asked Questions
What is a squeaker?
A squeaker is a newly weaned young pigeon, typically 4–6 weeks old. At this stage, birds are transitioning from crop milk to solid food and need an easily digestible mix that is gentle on their developing digestive systems.
Why no maize in the Squeaker Mix?
Maize is harder to digest than smaller cereals and legumes, and can be difficult for very young birds with immature digestive systems to process efficiently. The maize-free formula of Squeaker Mix is gentler and more appropriate for newly weaned birds.
